Job Description

We at Volocopter are the pioneers of electric air taxis, i.e. aircraft that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We bring urban air mobility to life, by getting air taxis and drones off the gorund in a way that complements current transportation options in megacities across the globe. Job Description

Your mission during this flight:

You will have the overall responsibility for the crew training department 

You will act as a functional lead over all training personnel listed in Operation Manuals Part D (OM-D)

You will ensure that the training complies with Part-FCL, Air OPS, and any other applicable external or internal requirements

You will ensure adherence to VCAS Standards of Performance

You will have the dedicated responsibility for the OM-D

You will define the professional requirements for all aspects of training

You will support with the definition and establishment of training curricula for flight and ground personnel, in cooperation with the Nominated Person Ground Operations, Flight Operations, Compliance Monitoring, and Safety Manager

You will be the supporting Nominated Person for Flight Operations when formulating standards and procedures

Qualifications

Education and working experience:

5+ years of experience in the aviation industry

Experience as a commander on fixed- or rotary-wing aircraft

Previous training experience as TRI or TRE

Management experience and expertise in an airline training department, preferably in a comparable organization

Preferred Skills:

Comprehensive knowledge of applicable EU safety regulations and any associated requirements and procedures, aviation-relevant EU legislation, as well as the national law, crew training concepts, and management systems

Comprehensive knowledge of aviation training philosophies

High personal training standards and above technical aircraft knowledge

Entrepreneurial thinking and acting

High social competence, credibility, and conflict ability

High sense of responsibility and trustworthiness

Sound knowledge of German and English language

Open mindset and target oriented

Excellent communication skills
